Indieventure is a podcast all about the wonderful world of indie video games!
Join three friends as they embark on an adventure to discover the best indies by the coolest creators. Hosted by Rachel Watts, Rebecca Jones and Liam Richardson, Indieventure shines a spotlight on smaller games across all genres.
The trio originally met during their tenure at Rock Paper Shotgun, where they hosted a similar (but legally distinct) podcast called Indiescovery. Following their departure from the site in 2023, Indieventure was launched as an appropriately self-owned project that October.
New episodes are released every two weeks.
Meet the hosts:

Rachel Watts
Rachel (she/her) is a freelance journalist and games critic with work published at GamesRadar+, Edge magazine, Lost in Cult, Epic Games, The Guardian, and others.
She’s currently an editor at Thinky Games and in another life was the reviews editor for Rock Paper Shotgun and a staff writer for PC Gamer and Play magazine.
Favourite indie: Kentucky Route Zero

Rebecca Jones
Guides writer for AAA games by day and indie game podcast host by night, Rebecca (she/her) lives something of a double life, which is the one and only thing she has in common with Batman. Currently employed by VG247.com, Rebecca was previously a regular contributor to Eurogamer and PC Gamer, in addition to spending two years on staff at Rock Paper Shotgun. The latter is, of course, where she met Liam and Rachel and where Indieventure was born, albeit in a slightly different form.
Rebecca’s contribution to the eclectic and varied tastes on display at Indieventure sees her regularly singing the praises of retro point-and-clicks, weird little puzzle games, indie horror that the other two don’t even like looking at on Steam, and generally anything else with a good story, especially if it’s kinda queer. Outside of gaming, she can usually be found reading horror novels, attempting to learn Japanese, collecting anime plushies and figurines, and generally being everything her parents should probably have figured she would become when they let her watch X-Files from a very impressionable age.
Favourite indie: Monster Prom

Liam Richardson
Liam (He/Him) is a recovering games journalist with bylines at Rock Paper Shotgun, Push Square and Wireframe.
A long-time lover of all things indie, Liam specialises in first-person shooters, roguelikes, city builders, and anything that provides a bit of mechanical “cronch”.
Elsewhere, you can occasionally find him dusting off his video editing skills for his YouTube channel Seven Out Of Ten or making nice software for Greggs.
You can also follow him on Bluesky if you’re into that sort of thing.
Favourite indie: Hypnospace Outlaw
